Unearthing the Wild
I’ve found something new lately - something feral and overgrown made of unexpected marks made loosely over bold colors.
Maybe it’s the changing seasons. Everything wants to grow again. Even me.
These newest pieces feel like an expression of inner wilderness but not in a pretentious, angsty way.
To me wilderness is innocent; a pure and fertile place living in shadows that are not unlike the darkness and safety of a womb.
I’m curious to see where this new evolution in style goes. It’s exciting to observe how my hand creates botanical motifs and organic shapes that blend together into one unique composition.
